I sell lego as a hobby to help fund my lego addiction. The most important question to ask when thinking about selling a collection is how long I want to take selling it followed by how much work I want to put into selling it. The longer you wait the better chance you might find the right person. The work part is do you want to sell it all in one shot or part it out over time. If you sell it in one big shot you should expect far less money but it will be done with far less work.
Essentially you are passing the work of selling onto someone else...like me. Anyway good luck
