>>6641825Yeah it was probably me. I'm the slowpoke who couldn't make up his mind on the mold 4 years ago and finally took a dip. The mold is definitely worth the money. A few flaws, but nothing that ruins the toy. Even after 4 years of hype, it still holds up. I think the Sandstorm version is cooler, with it's absurd giant tires and bright colors, but I also picked up Springer. His car mode doesn't peg together as well, however, but he's still cool.
How much you pay depends on what version you want. Takara versions of either go for 40 to 50 bucks at the lowest end. I got Takara Sandstorm because I liked the silver painted bumpers, but his gun looks like utter garbage. (the one in my picture is from a 3P weapon kit) The Hasbro version of both trend toward 20 to 30 bucks. I picked up the "Autobot Heroes" version of Springer because I liked the two-tone greens and the gold hood.
