As someone who wants to start dedicating a lot of time into MOCs I'm trying to choose a very limited color scheme to order pieces en mass. I want to keep things very simple and symbolic
I'm thinking of sticking with
Black
Grey
Dark Grey (I could probably get away with a single grey but for the sake of joints having both seems more practical)
White
Brown
Yellow
Red
Green
Blue
[X]
The goal is to keep the bare minimum of colors that can encompass everything in a close enough capacity. For instance if I want to make a pyramid or a sandy beach there's no reason they have to be tan when yellow works just fine. If something is supposed to be dark red, it just being red or brown is probably close enough(For instance the original Slave 1 used Brown and regular Green instead of the newer dark red and sand green).
I debated including orange but I feel that anything that has to be orange can likely be turned yellow or red or brown depending on the context.
I added an [X] because I'm thinking something pink/purple is the missing link but they are such rarely used tones I don't wanna make room for two different colors that will get very little use. Is there any Lego color that really hits the sweet spot between pink and purple so that things that are usually the many shades of pink/magenta/violet could all be close enough represented as that one single shade?
