Your constraints aren't really an objective standard, they exist as a legal net to keep kids responsible for breaking their own parts.
If you want to do that there's nothing wrong with that, it has it's benefits but there's also nothing wrong with not doing that either if you're fine with the potential consequences and your mom won't yell at you for it.
