I wanted a mantis beast box so badly so I'm glad for this figure regardless, but the aesthetics are possibly the least "Beast Box" of them all so far. It looks extremely deadly, more like an insecticon than a Beast Box. While I can totally appreciate that its a cool looking design on its own, it leaves me a tiny bit disappointed. A good example would be the Spider box. An even creepier Insect (Arachnid) than the Mantis by most accounts in the real world, but the spider box is a lot more charming and has some cute little elements to it that make it fit with all the other boxes. Even the crab has expressive tough Crabby eyes. The Tigers look pretty tough and are a bit further from the origins of the toyline than I'd like but even they still have somewhat exaggerated eyes that soften the divide a bit. I'm still going to get it because its a rad design as a standalone product and I really hope we do get that Orchid Mantis colorway but yeah.
