Because that is not the purpose of a line uniformity is the most important. Your logic only works if that suites your personal tastes. If you only intend to buy a few figures that happen to look good together thats fine for you. Bandai's intention is for the whale consumer to buy every character in the line. If they don't look good together what would be the point?

Even then many of the oversized smaller figures appearance don't even look great in comparison to the new GT kid Goku and in some cases are over designed and nowhere near as functional as GT kid Goku. These things are designed in a computer its all about how much effort you put in.
