>>10839994Hasbro isn’t dying, it’s sick and being poisoned by Disney.
Just look at the damn statistics they posted themselves. The shit they actually own is doing fine, even pointing out TF as doing well despite a box office failure, and in another article I don’t have on hand, mentioned transformers apparently having done 30% better in 2023 than the previous year, alongside Play-Doh and GI-Joe being growth drivers, not hinderances.
However look at any official Hasbro thing to do with the current state of the company and you’ll notice that they’re being royally fucked by their partner brands, and we all know who the two biggest culprits are; marvel and Star Wars. Disney’s fucking of those two franchises into the ground, alongside their unwillingness to give Hasbro more creative control in what they make is leading their franchises to ruin. (The idea that Disney is restricting what Hasbro makes could be be bullshit, but considering how tight they seem to be with lego Star Wars and what they can make, it wouldn’t shock anyone)
Transformers is doing fine, it’s hasbro’s biggest cash cow even with multiple failed movies and a toyline where half the figures shelfwarm to oblivion. When Hasbro gets truly desperate, they’ll drop Disney like a sack full of corpse parts into a river, and focus on the brands they own, the ones that make them money
