It made Rahkshi and Visorak more threatening and horrifying and managed to pull off Krekka's weird head.
However it made the Vahki look underwhelming compared to their sets (also made them robomanlets for some reason) and although I like Makuta's design it's true that the toy Kraahkan has something that makes it more sinister specially when looking at it on the front but I can see why they didn't go with that.
Not to mention how apparently ash bears and mutated Muaka are virtually idistinguishable except for the fact that one of those has sabertooth fangs.
