>>9653898>I think we are way too early in this line for them to be wasting time making characters who didn't have toys originally. This is shit they should be doing to round out the later waves; I agree with you, but I think I get what they're up to. They're trying to shake up the line a little bit and get the predictable stuff in with the new "check out the new thing" stuff. Kind of catering to both audiences at once. It's annoying for me, because I want space cadet raph and disguise donnie, but now I gotta come back next time and check out the new wave because hey, will I get robo rocksteady? Who else is going to get a never-before toy? Is one of the OG villains making an appearance yet? Which turtle is it this time? Do I get to "finish" my set or do I have to check in again soon? The shake up in the line-up means I'm not predicting the characters, which means I'm checking up on the line more often and talking about it. Yes this means it's going to be a million years before I get my hands on the characters I want, but like this anon says
>>9653934>this shows how confident they are in the line. While annoyed at the weird choices in this wave, at the same time, they're confident in this line, I don't need to worry about them cancelling the line before they get to doing someone like Fugitoid, I just have to be patient.
>mattel managed to do non-toy characters with MOTUC early on but they also were releasing 2-3 times as many figures a year.I mean, so the opposite of what I'm talking about is true with MotUC, since they've been pretty predictable with their waves, I know to expect clawful soon, and then I can take a break from the line for a few waves while I wait out certain snake characters to come up the queue. For a retailer toy, that's fine, I'll see things on the shelves once in a while and think "oh yeah, where are we in the queue?". For a made to order series, I can understand that they want me to pay closer attention.
