and nah I built the cockpit parts first and painted them as one piece(still need to paint the chairs and pilots) then I built and seam welded the aircraft around it. I think that's the correct way of doing it but as someone who's only real experience is gundam models it was nerve wrecking having to bring cement, sandpaper and super glue near my paintjob.
