My ideal solution would be this where the main figure is the inner robot and his head comes off to fit inside the shell and the shell can become a weapon when not in use.
The vehicle Pretenders could just be triple changers.
I really do wish they would just get on with it and give us the Pretender Monsters like they were going to do 4 years ago.
