Wasting yet another leader figure on Optimus. Titans Return actually made the leader class interesting and gave us some cool shit. But outside of possibly Shockwave, the Siege leaders are all repeats.

They need more variety, give us Thunderclash, give us Double Dealer, give us someone who doesn;t have toys in a billion other size classes.

I've also seen stuff like the Seacons but with each limb running around 100 bucks each it seems too expensive, especially when it only runs around 100-150 bucks to complete a whole hasbro combiner. Are there cheaper alternatives to the Seacons? I've already got the generations re-release but i want a more modern rendition of the team.

Also still no double dealer, not even third party double dealers exist. I was so desperate that I ordered Takara Kicback just for the Double Dealer/Clouder headmaster.

Seriously third parties should stop chasing masterpiece bullshit and make nitche late era G1 guys. Fucking triggerbots, Firecons, and Autobot Headmasters like Hosehead need actual attention.

Also Overlord and Liokaiser both got figures and let's not forget that Elita-1. moonracer, Novastar, jazz, and Wreckgar all combine into a single combiner.

Being a Literal Who hasn't stopped Hasbro before, and many collectors want to finish off entire G1 waves and are not happy that they're getting bullshit shoved into them.

I still want my Double Dealer, a real Double Dealer.

Combiner Wars Hotspot was first possibility with Aztex eagle style combiner head for the torso to resemble bird mode
Combiner Wars Skylynx was second possibility with the rocket mode's blue base and limbs being slightly retooled to look more vehicle like while beast mode would be his typical bird colors and torso mode resembling his bipedal robot mode
Then there was Titans Returns which had no less than 4 possibilities which were all scrapped:
Voyager Octane(the alt modes would remain unchanged, but the truck would be painted to resemble a military vehicle)
Voyager Blitzwing(again unchanged alt modes just repainted)
Leader Overlord(the top torso would have been retooled into a bird, almost shaped like a giant laserbeak, tank mode would remain unchanged).

Apparently plans even existed before Thrilling 30 as well. Deluxe Tankor/Octane would have been a direct repaint.

He was compared to Brawn and Gnaw where he's one of the figures who keeps getting pushed back to other lines and going through redesigns, but never really making the cut.

Sadly the only remnant we got was the Double Dealer head that was released exclusively by Takara
