I can understand the Toa Nuva looking like Halo characters, that was very popular at the time. But by 2008 the CRAWLING crowd was moving on to different stuff, and (proof of that) the "hero with a darker side" archetype Lego had attempted (Hordika, Inika albeit only visually) had been proven unsuccessful. Kids wanted straight up heroes who look like heroes, not half-monsters. And yet fucking "Twilight Takanuva" got greenlit.
