>>11322426>It is funny comparing people who grew up pre-Movie vs post-Movie. Anyone I’ve talked to born post-Movie loves the 86 guys, including Wheelie and Hot RodRight because they didn't grow up with Optimus Prime and the crew in the same way as the kids born in the 70s. You get some outliners such as myself but it requires liking a show that turned in a Space fairing star trek like show over the 1st two seasons which for 90% of the episodes was two factions fighting on earth over energy and never being that invested in Prime/Megs/whoever died. My boys Cosmos, Shockwave, Soundwave, the Dinobots, Blaster, Tracks and the Aerialbots all made it to season three and while most of them did fuck all/nothing I wasn't sad about movie deaths like a lot of friends were.
>>11322432You could tell the writers had no idea what to do with most of the new toys in the third season. At first he seem to be Daniel's Bumblebee and then they ditched that after Episode 12 for both characters with Daniel only being featured two more times, one with Grimlock, and one with Rodiums. Other oddities was when they had Quintessons having conversations and ordering Allicons for more episodes than Sharkticon/Gnaw even thought they never made a toy for that character back then and as a kid I could never figure out why they did that and not just have Gnaw be a reoccurring minion for those 5 episodes.
>>11322471In one of the children's story books back in the 80s it was explained he talk in rhyme because it was his means of coping after being the lone survivor of a spaceship crash and living years on a Quintessons planet trying to always kill him.
