Overall the clearances on these old MPs are pretty great, which is why I will always prefer them to the new clusterfucks. Maybe you got a KO? The paint on mine seems almost invincible.
As for Wheeljack, it's hard for me to say. I feel like the Datsuns are a bit more accomodating as figures, but Wheeljack's transformation is literal perfection. Everything gets repurposed so flawlessly. Every part of his bot mode becomes an integral part of the alt mode instead of just becoming a backpack or hiding away, and his gun becoming a tailpipe is slick. I love how his forearms have the rear spoiler and tail lights on them. It's not accurate to anything, but it looks cool and makes for a more smartly-engineered figure. In a new MP, all that shit would just be clumped into a backpack.
