Literally every other episode with the Quints and Deceps is "well, we know we probably can't trust you, but we WILL go with you on this so far and see what happens, but if you betray us (and you will) we'll get you (and we won't)". Think the only vaguely honest Quints were in the time window one and maybe Prime's return, but that was with the Autobots.
