Despite being a license theme, I think minecraft is the most "lego" theme currently on the market besides lego classic and 3in1 (which has oddly been drifting from that lego feel more and more, releasing sets that I think are just too detailed). The builds are simple but effective, they rarely stray away from standard building techniques, and they just have a simplistic charm to them that I think the rest of lego themes have lost. Even lego City has lost its charm, releasing buildings and cars with way too many smooth tile pieces and too much detail, which we all know artificially boosts the price. If you were to take any minecraft set and just replace the minifigs with normal smiley face dudes, they'd look like any old set from the 90's.
