>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHQ1jHvM1HwI think its relevant for the non-germans to give a small summary and update what is happening in Krautland currently.
>Johnny's World (A brick&mortar + online toy store owner/youtuber who is the EU wide importer for Qman) got a letter from the german Customs. >A container full of Qman sets (worth 30k+€) was seized by the German Customs on behalf of Lego because of Copyright claims.>There is a lawsuit ongoing to solve Legos claim about Qman minifigure being a clone of Lego minifigure, and apparenly Lego does not want to wait for this to be resolved by the judge, they try to hinder Qman getting a foothold in the EU by any means.>No official statement from Lego so far (of course not)>Johnny's video is in the german youtube trends (top 15 i think)>Held der Steine (most famous german bricks youtuber) jumped onto the story: Trending video #1 in Germany right nowJohnny's World also started a crowdfunding:
Not to collect money for his legal fight against Lego, but to buy alternative sets in China (he estimated that he needs 30k for a full container) to be given to children in children protectory homes in Germany. (and probably other charity institutions).
After not even 2 days its already 185k€.
The link is under his videos.
Latest news from the video above:
Qman actually approached him and they will not only pay for all the legal fees (lawyer etc), but they will also pay the cost for the warehouse where the container is now held.
Because in his first video he was explaining that even if Lego looses that lawsuit, the warehouse fee for the goods in question will be his to pay, and after several years it might even be higher than the value of the goods itself.
This last bit raised my already high opinion of Qman quite a bit. They could have just dropped him and looked for a different importer for their stuff. But they did not.
