I haven't played with or bought Lego since at least 2010. I was very big into Bionicle and I remember receiving the last issue of the comic and a care package from Lego which had a bunch of goodies in it because they had forgotten to send something to me… or something like that, I don't really remember now. It was very nice of them though.
Recently, I've been going through a rough patch in my life and have been generally depressed. I've been looking for something new to do because I've become burnt out on my usual activities (what few I have) and I decided I really need a hobby. I thought about getting into modeling (I still might) but I like the idea of never being completely tied to your final creation; being able to take it apart and make something new or even incorporate it into something else. There’s only one thing that came to my mind that I knew could do that well. I feel a little weird and even embarrassed to be admitting this as an adult, but this week I went shopping for Lego for the first time in over a decade.
