Again, I'm only repeating what Hasbro has said about why different toys have different engineering (GI Joe vs Star Wars. GI Joe vs MU line) and it makes sense.

Stuff like this is a one time deal, just like many BAFs. The females have been that way for a very long time. To redo an entire line requires the entire factory to be retained and new tools for every station.

I don't remember anyone saying people who bought the Fury Files weren't Marvel fans.
Most of the hate came from people who were furious it wasn't 1:12 scale.

Most people actually seemed to like it, since Hasbro's 1:12 figures (at the time) were that horrible.

Funny thing is, i'm pretty sure Hasbro created more molds for their Marvel 1:18 figures than they have so far for MLs.

As nice as those figures are, they're only as good as the original 3.75" figures.

They're both double jointed, with the SHF having that little pull down bit that really doesn't do much. Pretty equal, depending on the character.

Only real nice thing about the SHF is that it has that ballhinge at the feet like this Beast figure.
