It's disingenous because that photo is an upskirt shot, when most people will be viewing the figure from above or MAYBE at eye level.
You might as well be bitching about the peg holes on the bottom of the feet and back, because they're just as big when viewed normally. Again, all these little things are kept to a minimum and the flaws are usually only visible from one angle. If you view this from the side, there's a normal sliver gap. From the front, you wouldn't even know it existed.
