For the BW II characters, just make them more proportionate, since its an anime a lot of the character designs are adjusted from the toys they were based on to look more humanoid like Diver here, so basing new figs on the animation models would be one way to differentiate them from the 90s figs. That and better articulation. And probably a better Squid mode for Claw Jaw. Although hasbro 99% wouldn't touch toy-only characters or japanese BW characters.
