The apartment building owner would even send a black girl named Belle to clean your room, and change your bed sheets free of charge. You could buy a slice of pizza, and a coke for for only 15 cents back in 1957. The Pizza slice was only 10 cent and the soda was 5 cents. So $3 seems kinda pricy for the 50s.
