She’s alright now because she’s just another Autobot, she isn’t the “super important city speaker” anymore. It also helps that she isn’t picking fights with Optimus.

That is not how you make a character endearing, doesn’t help that her toys stank.

Maybe develop some oratory skills to galvanize the Autobots with speeches that would impress even Optimus Prime himself. Use that to inspire the Autobots to get up and finish off the Decepticons OR, convince both factions to stop fighting and join together like in pic related (make sure the Decepticons pay their fair share of reparations for the chaos and destruction theyve caused throughout the universe though)

Tiny magnets, shooting sparks, drone technology, and so on are just lawsuits waiting to happen.

Besides, the storyline for G2 wasn’t that far advanced. It was more just a handwave for the Image Comics-inspired look of the trend chasing comic.

Advanced technology like all the superpowers characters have, size changing, linking up together, piloting larger vehicles, becoming a smaller robot for fuel efficiency, organic alt modes, enhanced firepower, AI integration, merging with humans, altering the fabric of space, even fucking time travel and wormholes are standard.

The only true advances would be mass production and equipment distribution since technological advantages are scarce and seem to just belong to whoever took/built it.

The only new frontier is magic and delving into their own origins/religion.
