I want to be able to easily paint the gold and silver parts before it's put together. Even if I do nothing else, that alone makes them looks significantly better. If you're autistic enough to care about seams and mold lines that's a thing you could do. That's the beauty of a model kit, you can go as crazy with them as your heart desires. Not having grey and mustard colored plastic for silver and gold parts is enough to make me happy. I have started hand painting smaller details as well since I built that one.
