Had an experience with US P-Bandai support!
While messing with LaGOWE, I noticed that the left-side orange antenna on the head was crooked (it's the antenna that are still on the figure in my pic, I think you can kinda see it but it's much more obvious in-person). Looking closer, there was actually a stress mark where the antenna was bent, and even the right-side antenna had a stress mark (though the antenna was still straight). It was like something heavy had been placed on top of the figure and crushed the antenna. Tried using heat to make the stress marks go away and straighten the antenna, but no dice. I'm generally pretty forgiving about small flaws on toys, but stress marks are a real peeve for me. Since the orange antenna are attached to a removable part (to allow access to the mono-eye), I tried reaching out to US P-Bandai support for a replacement part.
I emailed them just after the New Year and included a bunch of pictures of the damage (which kinda sucked because none of the cameras I tried to use could clearly pick up the stress marks) and also had to send a photo of the UPC. There was an initial automated email confirming receipt of my request and then about a week and a half later I got an email stating that my replacement part request had been approved. Was told to anticipate the replacement in 6-8 weeks since the part request is sent direct to the manufacturer.
Just 5 weeks later, I received an entire brand-new LaGOWE head! They even shipped it by FedEx with signature required; was kinda funny signing for a tiny little box, haha. Antenna are perfectly straight on the replacement and I guess I have a spare head for battle-dioramas or something.
So yeah, overall a very good experience! Makes me appreciate having a domestic P-Bandai for sure.
