Transformers Generations Red Alert
A very popular mold for its time, I think this is the only version I own.
Might be my only G1 Red Alert, not counting the MP, now that I think of it.
I want to say tis was the last use of this mold, I'm not 100% on when BotCon finished with it, and that being the case there's some strange Frankensteining happening.
Now obviously this is the Sideswipe version of the mold. But it's been given Sunstreaker's supercharger intake.
And not only is the light bar different from Henkei Alert that came out the year I've literally just now noticed that it's the same light bar as Universe Prowl.
That's blowing my mind right now. Both that I've just now noticed it despite owning these toys since they came out and also that Hasbro would do something like that, just pluck an accessory from a different toy toys years older.
On top of that trivia he's a great looking car. Instantly recognizable as a Lamborgini with its ultra low body and speedy shape.
Maybe it was just habit from working on movie toys but a lot of vehicle detail has made it on this toy.
Clear plastic insert headlights, painted turn signals, pinned and painted rims, even the rear lights and license plate are done.
Oh and the tiny real window separate from most of the Lamborgini's side glass is picked out as well.
