>>8771345>we're getting alternate head for triceraton?I also would have loved a "modern" head for splinter because I never really liked the ninja mask eyes on an unmasked head, especially when Rocksteady has normal eyes.
Anyway, Triceraton. Honestly, it's hard to know for sure. The line specifically goes on a per character basis instead of formula, so I'm guessing yes. Stressing that I'm GUESSING. But it's a 50/50 split really, depending on what they want to do. So it could easily be no. Having said that:
All the turtles got alternate "modern" heads in case you don't like their "classic" head expressions.
Shredder got a "mispainted" alt head to nostalgiabait. Bebop got an alternate head for skin tone - you can make him brown skinned and pink headed like the original toy, or you can give him a brown head so his fur matches through his whole body. Meanwhile, Rocksteady didn't get an extra head, at least since last we heard.
Casey didn't get alternate heads, despite having an obvious "unmasked" or "mask up" alternate they could have included for the sake of people who liked the 2003 series or the movies. April always got an extra head - with or without headset. The latest interview confirmed she now comes with a third head, which I'm guessing is the prototype "toy" head to counter the two re-done "toonified" heads.
Mondo Gecko got a second head for a more extreme version of his expression because they could.
So yeah. 8/16 toys got alternate heads as part of their accessories, some with no real reason to get them, some with no reason not to get them.
My guess is because Triceraton is a species/group of baddies in the cartoon, they'll do a "generic" ish head for him, something like a "modern expression" version or a "clean" version where his horn isn't taped up for the sake of the army builders. But hey, the foot soldiers didn't get an Alpha One head despite being a really easy way to convince people to pick up two of the same toy, so who knows.
