There are no mounted archers in the Castle theme because mounted archers were not a thing in western medieval warfare. Whenever they were present on the battlefield they were mercenaries from the east where mounted archers were a way of life for many. Archers would often ride to battle but would always dismount and fight on foot, as the size of longbows and the reloading process for most crossbows made being on horseback a detriment at best, a liability at worst.
