Anyone have any experience with dyeing parts? I watched a few videos of RC guys doing it but seems like everyone had slightly different methods and I'm wondering if the hard plastic for those parts is different than the softer, more flexible plastic toys are usually made with.
Specifically I have some parts from Black Series figures that I want to dye black. Some of those guys said they let the water boil first then added the dye liquid. Others said they let the water come to a boil, then turned the heat down halfway and added the dye and parts, one added the dye before the water even came to a boil. The main parts I am dyeing are flesh/white colored plastic with no paint so I think it will be forgiving but I have another piece I want to make orange and I don't wanna fuck that one up.
