I already have the previous release Torch, so I'm passing on this one. But if they ever do a Torch in just regular orange plastic, I'll be all over that. I really don't like translucent plastic on toys. I get what they're going for I just don't think it ever looks good.

As much as I'd like this. It'd also bug me because I got the previous 90s release and it doesn't feel like it was that long ago. Maybe a street clothes version? Or even a Tyler Mane Sabretooth? I'd be really happy with either of those.

AoA mold would be fine but I’d also be okay with the Omega Red mold. It looks decent for Venom and I think it would work for Sabretooth too. I have the old one but I hate the Hyperion mold so much. Plus the aftermarket for him is insane, I think it’s okay to rerelease him.

I agree, although I would’ve preferred if we had the same set of Sues. Having just one that’s partially invisible isn’t really my thing. Mr. Fantastic and Thing are definitely superior releases though. I just really like the blue costumes more so I sold them anyway. I actually like Elizabeth Olsen's scarlet witch the most, and she's like the one person not banned from having a woman's body in the mcu, although thanks for the recommendation anyway.

What I actually care about is body types and silhouettes on the shelf. Pic related. I love that these figures have different proportions and builds and would love to see this sort of variety with the women too. She-Hulk, Rogue, Shadowcat, and Molly Hayes should not share a body mold. Whatever the base teenage woman buck they seem to be using for all the female characters is, it annoys me as much as every other male figure getting a buckycap body.

I mean, I’m not going to act like the figures of Dagger, Emma Frost, and AoA Jean don’t have small chests strictly because they have actual skin tone parts as well.
But holy shit some of these people are obsessed. All the men need diverse bodies and the women need “diverse” bodies. Even characters like Spider Gwen need to have big mommy milkers and a wagon. So happy to finally have AoA Sabretooth, it feels like I've been waiting forever. He's certainly not the best ML this year and I still think he would have been better on the Omega Red body (even AoA Creed shouldn't be a tall as Colossus) but man do him and Wild Child make a great pair.

I know, and I like that and want more of it. I've seen mixed results. I've seen Star Wars restorations that worked great on characters like Max Rebo, but then disasters like turning trying to dye He-Man black only for him to turn out a copper colour. But if you try it, post results.

I don't know if it will help or not, but I have a little experience with dyeing cloth and one of the things it will recommend in the instructions (at least with dye powder) is to add about a cup of salt to the water you're adding dye to. You might wanna adjust that for whatever vessel you're using (large pot, sink, bowl, etc.). I don't know if that will affect the plastic differently though.

nah, not together. they're just the ones that stick out the most when I look at my stuff. it's the 80th Hulk that came in the 2-pack with Wolverine but his hips are loose which makes dynamic poses difficult.

Can't speak for Dormammu, I have the SDCC Book of Vishanti version, but Ultron and Modular Iron Man are some top tier figures. I'd consider Ultron one of the best figures they've done. Honestly, right now is a pretty good time to be into Legends, they're producing some classic verisons of characters, or have in the past few years, and the quality just keeps getting better. That new Cap looks insane, I'm having a tough time justifying keeping my 80th Anniversary version.

I don't know who's responsible for it, Disney/Marvel or Hasbro themselves, but live action MLs almost never come with realistic guns. There are a few exceptions, like Netflix Punisher and Killmonger, but way more often you see them packed with any of their generic sci-fi guns or worse, guns sculpted in or glued into the holster.

I try to do this as well, I usually load up my PayPal wallet with a little extra. That way anything that doesn't get used rolls over for next time. But I like to have extra for anything that catches my eye that I wasn't expecting, like if I see a good deal on a comic or game. Three figures showing up unexpectedly might mean I have to pass on an omnibus that I was gonna grab.
It also doesn't help that I live outside the US so every time I ship my pile of loot from BBTS I'm usually looking at about 100 bucks on shipping alone.

He's good. I just picked up him a couple days ago. Some of the joints are really tight, his shin swivels feel weird on mine, and the ankle rockers were stuck, but they work fine after I warmed them up. I have some paint chipping on the back of his elbows where parts stuck together. Fortunately the grey that cast the plastic in is a really light colour so it blends pretty well. Those are the only issues I've had. Other than that he's a pretty good figure, not mind blowing, but not terrible. The silver is a really nice colour that catches light well and the effect piece sits in his mouth well. I'm not the biggest Ultron fan so I can't speak for how well he captures the spirit of the character, but he's a solid figure.

I just scratched at him with my fingernail. I pressed hard enough that the softer plastic on his foot dented a little, but the paint did come off. I tried a couple other places and no issues, even on the elbow where I said >>9396481 there's paint that has chipped off and no more came away. I'm sure if you dropped it on concrete or dragged it along the wall it'd probably do some damage, but standard posing shouldn't be an issue.

They should. Both figures are on the Reaper body, even though Venomized Cap has new knees, forearms, boots, chest, and shoulders. A few of those are from the 80th Cap but that was also technically the Reaper body. Knee pegs should also match if you wanted to swap that way but it would probably be easier to just do the boots.

I replied to your other post about Venomized Cap being an easy swap, but you might be able to use Killmonger boots. If they’re too large for the peg (unlikely) you can rub the peg in Vaseline, fill the boot hole with hot glue, and then stick the peg in. Take it out and wait for it to cool, you should have a decent peg hole. If the peg hole is too small, you can dremmel it out. And if you dremmel too much, you can do the hot glue trick.

I wouldn't even mind a deluxe of the BAF but I'd prefer the cartoon head especially if he had one with drool connecting his opened mouth and one closed. Make a new head sculpt, a less shitty tail, utilize the old BAF body. I kinda don't like the look of the BAF's feet since they stick out a lot but I don't own him to know if it looks bad in hand.

Turning to /toy/ because my own research isn't turning up a lot.

I wanna make an ML of this specific Punisher look. I've got the head, vest and gun. I can't find a body that I like. My problem is finding a figure with jeans and boots sitting as high as his. I'd like to paint as little as possible.

So far my best option is either Hydro Man or getting a Sandman Retro and repainting him. But those both don't have the right look for the boots. But painting Sandman will give me the jeans and sleeve length. It's an autistic problem, I know.

I think your easiest bet would be to start off with pic related and swap the standard Netflix Punisher head onto it. Then you'd just need to find the right arms. I'm fairly certain the pants are cast in blue plastic with the camo painted on top, so rubbing alcohol or something should be able to strip them down into a jeans look.

I was thinking of that, but I'm not sure if that leg bandolier comes off and I don't like the cargo pockets for jeans. Any idea which shade of blue is under that camo? Thanks.

That looks awesome.
As for the colour of the plastic it's hard to say. I don't own the figure myself, so I can't be sure and pictures online seem to vary between greyish blue to just grey. The bandolier on his left leg is a separate piece, so it comes off.

Cool. I'm working on trying to do this Punisher right now. I've gotten the Walgreen's Punisher and I'm gonna swap the hands from the Rider Punisher, and get a soft good coat and pants. I just need to find the right feet and I'm set.

I think the Netflix Punisher legs might work for this. I took the head off mine, threw the comic Castle head on and called it a day lol

Also, here's an...interesting take someone had on that design. Gotta say, using black duct tape to lengthen the coat was a bit of genius lol

I did the same. It was actually what made me want to make a separate figure. That way I still have my Netflix Punisher.

I agree. I'd also love for them to re-release the game with some higher resolution textures. I have the game on Xbox but I recently bought it again on PC to get the patch that removes the interrogation censorship.

And yeah, there's a guy on eBay I got to for hands like that, but the shipping always makes them seem not worth it.

At least this way I can resell the rest of the figures AND clear Eternals out of my local store.
