While the Transmetals would definitely better bridge the gap between Beast and Traditional fans, don't underestimate the nostalgia power of the season one gang. I mean, it's been 25 years and the Beast era fans have been champing at the bit for a resurgence like this.
But fuck me would I prefer the Transmetal figures. This Cheetor, Surf Board Primal, and Depth Charge were the BEST. Orifinal Rattrap was better than TM, though, aside from the shitty spring-forming gimmick which wore out after a year so he couldn't hold either beast or robot mode fully...
