This allows him to compensate and shift his weight pretty well, you have the entire length of your foot to modulate that. The guy on the right will be far less stable, he can be tipped forward or back easily because he is modulating his balance on a thin strip of foot. He does not need side to side stability, it is a poor choice for this. Garax can only do the pose on the right.
Also, I juuuuust noticed I posted in the wrong thread, I was talking about Garax in the NECA thread (who has the same issue) and mixed up my tabs. Sorry. Anyway, I think you get my point about why calf/ankle swivels are important.
