The sculpt is (mostly) pretty good, I haven't compared it to the movie model or anything but it looks cool even if it's missing the finer details like the extra claws on his toes. Paint is surprisingly decent, again not perfect but definitely good for the pricepoint. Articulation and build quality are a bit suspect here and there though- one of his legs likes to pop off way too easily, the neck swivel and tail joints are kinda loose and the tail (which was a sod to attach) is bizarrely engineered. Range of motion is about what I expected, not amazing but ShinG isn't a terribly dynamic character, but I do wish the tail was a bit better and tighter.
Overall though I do like him quite a lot, and given how expensive the Monsterarts is (especially the Awakening version) I'm satisfied. Also the beams are great and I love how well he photographs with flash. He's easily the best thing I've ever got from NECA. Plus he actually stands!
