I think you more need to work on the settings ... on your phone you probably have a pro setting for the camera. Try dropping the ISO to 100 and maybe play with the white balance and exposure ...
not that my pics are great but it might help you make them look more like you desire. if the camera on your phone doesn't have these settings try the open camera app.
also using a stand and remote will help eliminate the shake from pushing the button to take the pic. you can get them dirt cheap.
