If you or anyone says differently, they're full of shit. Companies like Hasbro ditched them, because the budget for their figures was much smaller. So Hasbro's first wave made a ton of fans pissed off because of how cheap the toys looked. See pic in how the figure was actually sculpted to hold a wash.
Companies who have the budget for it still use washes, even McFarlane. Mezco, NECA, 4Horsemen, Jazwares, Mafex... pretty much everyone but the most cheapest of companies.
