Got this guy near the end of my shift yesterday, didn't have a chance to open him until today. I'm not ultra familiar with him but he evokes the same feelings I had when I saw the Japanese exclusive transformers in an old catalogue my dad had gotten from over there somehow or another in his collecting days.
Hes very cool, very solid, and while his alt mode isnt a perfect realistic Jet it definitrly captures that "old anime mecha jet" feel in so many ways to me. Love the colors even if the grey isnt perfect, but he does seem like he needs a little more painted detail or something here and there. Might get the toyhax stickers, though sometimes those go too far in my opinion.
Happy to have Metalhawk in my growing group of Autobots. While I started this new collection with MPM Blackout (and I do love him), I'm finding myself more and more drawn to the fun and fantastical bots with more sci-fi modes.
