If it turns out there's a successor to these guys later in the timeline and they're also some weird idol group when they aren't doing aerobatics... I'd actually be OK with that. I like to imagine Delta Flight is just a team of backup dancers to Walkure sometimes. But the school uniform colors are so garish it wraps around to become adorable.
