But my argument is that we really should embrace alt. mode clunkiness. I don't mind door panels on forearms, generally. I hate how the obsession with giving every robot the generic cartoon silhouette from G1 has resulted in utterly horrid transformations with stupid engineering expenses and compromised alt modes. I'd rather have a clean alt mode and a clunky robot mode 100 times out of 100. An alien robot doesn't need to have a clean silhouette, but an alt mode "disguise" that isn't clean is objectively shit and completely missing the point.
