>>10801246Not true. The original FF7 figures were like $5 each. The FF8 figures were $6 each. The FF9 figures were around $7 for two-packs. I still remember the FF8 boxed sets for $24.95 each but with an exclusive you couldn't buy individually (like Edea). The 5" Bandai FFX figures were also $7, while the 12" Kotobukiya ones were around $25.
Then there were the Kotobukiya FF8 GFs, which were in the $10 to $30 range. The most expensive was Omega Weapon, which I think was $40.
It was around the time of FF12 - FF13 when Square-Enix decided to eliminate 3rd-party producers, and start selling stuff on their own at hyper-inflated prices.
