Everything included with the twink. Like the VII figs, only one headsculpt/faceplate. Unfortunately the norm these days. I'm not sure how the XVI figs are faring on that front since I haven't played it and wasn't interested in them.

She is but only in their JP site, its not only Hobbysearch, even HLJ and Amiami, Bring Arts Tifa and Aerith aren't available for global, only on their JP site, its probably because of the NFTs as others like Sephiroth, Barret and Red XIII are available in their global site, only Bring Arts Cloud somehow got to be sold in HLJ global site

No face swapping for a 6-inch ish figure of this price is kind of crazy. No wonder they're overprotectively squatting on their IPs the way they are. Even with the rising prices for Goodsmile and Bandai's offerings, they still offer considerably more bang for your buck, generally look more accurate to their source material and far fewer baseline QC troubles.

Weird decision. I'd expect Tifa and Aerith would outsell Barret and Red by a consirable margin. I have Cloud on route so that will be the deciding factor for me, but from pictures he looks solid.

Bring Arts Cloud looks great, articulation on the other hand isn't that amazing and his legs pops off in the hips, I read thickening the joints helps to avoid it, also saw a JP owner shaving a part of the legs to avoid the legs popping off and more range of motion, desu, I'm not an articulation junkie, I just want toys that look good and have some decent articulation, my last purchase recently was figma Samus Dread while it is expensive, she is a ton of fun to pose and you can see the well made engineering put out for the figure so I feel the price is worth it. I kinda wished the Bring Arts had those engineering as well as the price is is almost the same as figma but the articulation is kinda dated.

Haven't bought any SE figure for years, last I bought was PAK Ryu and Chun-Li, the latter broke on her right swivel shoulder joints, glad though I was able to exchange it for a new one, now these classic anime style Bring Arts FFVII is hooking me alright, but I haven't bought Cloud yet, Tifa will be my deciding factor if I will collect the line or not, I wanna avoid the PAK Remake Tifa debacle where the mass produced face is so off from the prototype

I never bothered with PAK as their quality always seemed too far removed from what they advertised, but I've had a good experience with their FF9 bring arts, being pretty close to the protos. For me it's all about the aesthetic as well so somewhat limited articulation isn't overly important to me.

They just estimated that Tifa and Aerith wouldn't sell much and made them limited+exclusive releases. Obviously they ended up selling a lot anyway and Cloud too so now they're backtracking their decisions and making the second wave with Red, Barrett and Sephiroth as normal releases and without any NFTs attached
Sephiroth will sell great still but Barrett and Red might not do as well so they might end up affecting what Square decides to do with the third wave and how their distribution is handled
I think a character like Caith Sith will be limited no matter how well the rest of the cast sells though, because he seems to be the least popular member among the fanbase and his figure would also likely be the weirdest and toughest to pull off because of the "body" and then small Caith Sith himself

Out of the big 3 of JP online store(Hobbysearch/Amiami/HLJ) only HLJ was able to release Bring Arts Cloud for their global site, the reason I don't know but I don't think they didn't release the girls because they think they will shelfwarm atleast Tifa as SE knows her merchandise sells like hotcakes, thats the reason why they made all her dresses(Mature, Sporty, Exotic) as PAKs and their statue line

NO. They charge their prices simply because they can. They've literally monopolized the production and sale of their own properties so they can sell at any price they want.

So gone are the days of Bandai, Kotobukiya, and anyone else mass-producing stuff at lower prices.

they're deluded, but they get away with it because they have a stranglehold on most of their IPs
usually, the only exceptions are when other companies makes figures based on material that isn't owned by square but IS made in collaboration with them. take the nier anime for example. it's completely based on nier automata, but because square didn't produce it themselves and in fact had to greenlit use of the characters, setting and story for it to even be made, other companies are free to make figures of it.

Not true. The original FF7 figures were like $5 each. The FF8 figures were $6 each. The FF9 figures were around $7 for two-packs. I still remember the FF8 boxed sets for $24.95 each but with an exclusive you couldn't buy individually (like Edea). The 5" Bandai FFX figures were also $7, while the 12" Kotobukiya ones were around $25.

Then there were the Kotobukiya FF8 GFs, which were in the $10 to $30 range. The most expensive was Omega Weapon, which I think was $40.

It was around the time of FF12 - FF13 when Square-Enix decided to eliminate 3rd-party producers, and start selling stuff on their own at hyper-inflated prices.

I managed to get all three of the girls and Cloud with the Hardy Daytona back in the day. They were good figures, but they always felts stiff and awkward, and my Tifa's arm would always just pop off. I still like em for what they are, but they were never the best toys.

I emailed them earlier and actually got a reply today. It seems since I ordered all the figures at the same time, I won't get any of em until they're all in stock. Didn't realize they held pre-orders like that, makes shipping more tolerable that way. Guess I'll be getting the gang sometime in febuary when Aerith ships.

Still debating whether I wanna chase the whole team or just stop at Cloud and the Girls. Red looks really nice, and I wouldn't mind Vincent when he comes out. But I never really cared for Barret or Cait Sith, and was fairly meh on Cid.

Only 2 so far have posted their Tifas, the 2nd one with the Cloud Bring Arts doesn't post much as when he got Cloud, he only posted once for the figure and thats it, I am only getting pics from the owner who had trouble getting out the protective plastic but I appreciate him/her posting pics as we get to see how the figure looks

A lot of Scions switched up jobs over the expansions. With Endwalker he switched to Sage, and it is not super related to the classic job except it is a healer. It uses these funnel things to both attack and heal. I find it a fun job and I think it fits Alphinaud.

I feel you on six....but they did the entire main cast as well as Beatrix and Kuja from IX already. The fact we got anything from IX is a small miracle, let alone the whole team.

Personally, I wanna see more Bring Arts from XI....ones other then the most annoying character in the game and the freaking mount from it. (though the chocobo is awesome and they need to make more of em, in every color).

Yeah, I'm ecstatic to know my holy trinity is about to be complete, I was happy if they just make Tifa into a poseable 1/12 even if it was remake version or a realistic take of the game models from the og similar to the old Play Arts but SE choose the original looks so I only waited to know how the figure look when it comes out as PAKs are notorious for mass produced versions looking way off from the promo/prototype pics so I was skeptical up until now where all my doubts are cleared, just need to look out for the figures when it comes out locally from where I am so I can inspect it before I buy it

I guess the reason she has an alt face plate is because SE probably felt she needed to come with something more as she doesn't come with any unique accessory, replaceable hands and face plates though should be the norm when SHF and figma has been doing this for years, especially at this price point

So far, only Tifa and Aerith do have alt face plates, atleast Aerith has her guard stick weapon, Tifa is really bare bones, she only got waifu power to sell the figure lol

Wow, Bring Arts are WAAAAY behind in terms of tech for their sculpts and joints. They feel like Figmas from 2012, except that they cost $100 minimum instead of $30.

Really embarrassing on Bring Arts and they are solely relying on the license without any of the modern things we see in action figures. Even Marvel Legends or Jada Toys are doing better then SE on this.

Yeah, like what I said above, the Bring Arts' articulation looks like figma 1.0 and the price is really expensive for what they offer, while I put the Bring Arts sculpt above Marvel Legends and Jada, the latter prices are pretty much worth it, Bring Arts figures however, you need to really want said character/series to justify getting them, atleast this time the figure's looks are almost the same as their promo pics/prototypes unlike PAKs where you won't know how different the figure will look compared to promo pics/prototype until upon release

Honestly man kinda worse. It's easily, on average, the worst import articulated figures for their price point. It's been said a million times in every Bring Arts thread, but we just buy them because god damn it we want these characters. I have most of the KH figs. Terra is, by a wide margin, the worst action figure I have ever owned. He is downright terrible. The exchange rate was bad when he released, I think I paid 85-90 bucks for him. Just awful. And what's worse is that many of the KH figs, Terra included, and a lot of the FF figs will go for double or triple their retail price.

So Yuffie will definitely have a default face of open smiling face and Cid will have a looking at a side face with a cigarette in his mouth, I do hope both of them get alt faces(neutral serious looking straight closed mouth face plate) as I hate figures permanently looking at a side and for Yuffie to be not awkward looking when the figure is in fighting poses(she will look like a sadist with that smiling open mouth face in fighting poses)

I do wonder how they will make Zack though as he didn't get a character artwork so they have nothing to base it off

Maybe because Bring Arts are handled by a different person/team who handles the PAKs, the PAKs though are a gamble, you won't know how the figure's face will turn out until it is released and most of the time, the figure's face will look way different that whats shown in the promos, so sometimes, this leads to v2 of figures

Haven't been really updated with Bring Arts during its early days but did the line also suffered from faces looking way off from promo pics? I only remember Bring Arts Yorha from Nier having a v2 but I think that because of improving the overall looks and qa of the figure not just the face

He has concept art, just nothing used in-game or for promos. They can just reuse Cloud's body and give him a head based on this sketch

You got that exactly backwards, chief. Tifa was always a sweet person. Aerith was more spunky and mischievous. They did it specifically to subvert the traditional personalities of their character archetypes and somewhere people still associate them with said archetypes years later. Tifa was the demure girl and Aerith was the outgoing one.

Now that I think about it, if they make a Zack they'll probably base him on the upcoming Rebirth game since he's supposedly going to have a role in that. I can see them do 1 head for his early Crisis Core haircut and 1 head for his after-Angeal death haircut. Probably because Nomura ended up reversing them after the original game during Compilation stuff. Every time you see Aeris outside the original game she just speaks very softly and without any attitude while he has Tifa become like a kung-fu meathead badass spunky girl

Cloud does at least start the first few moments of the game being an uncaring asshole but he grows out of it and starts opening up a bit and interacting with the others better after awhile
I imagine a lot of people see all that extra stuff then like the first 5 minutes where he says he doesn't care and just wants to get paid and that cements his entire character for them
Sephiroth gets it pretty bad too with the whole "he's the evil half inside Cloud and also his gay lover" thing instead of the original game's "professional dude gone crazy from an identity crisis and taking it out on the party and the planet"

Tbh, if we got Vagrant Story, FFT, Xenogears Bring Arts and those series are almost old and forgotten then Star Ocean Bring Arts is possible, in fact, anything is possible, Bring Arts line seems more for random IPs from SE than for PAKs where its only for popular series

Old Sephiroth's height in the western game manuals is 185cm but the Japanese manuals don't have that info about him. In recent times he's supposed to be 200cm, so 2 meters tall and 3cm taller than Barrett
But even discounting that, the pictures of the cast aren't following the numbers listed below them since Vincent and Seph are both taller than Barett there

I pretty much just shaved the joint flush with the leg itself.

I'm going to take the shoulder pad off and reattach to with magnets later on. Otherwise it hinders movement more than I like.

I don't have a problem with chopping this thing up, I can fix pretty much anything that happens.

The socket has a deep neck, which rises above the figure's actual leg. The Y joint that is used for the hips doesn't have enough clearance on the branches for the socket's neck, so it pops out very easily if you move the leg too far up.

By shaving it down, you reduce the neck to be more suitable for the Y joint branch, giving it better range.

Tifa can't even bring herself to flirt or hint that she likes Cloud in the original game. She is shy and bashful and only really tough or naughty or with a temper in very rare situations that require her to act that way
Aeris on the other hand shows she's flirty and assertive and playful from the get go. She only really acts differently in serious situations and when coming closer to her Ancient roots

It's meant as a certificate of authenticity, so it's not so much proving that you own it as much as it is to prove that you own the official figure and not a bootleg. I'm glad though that Tifa's legs aren't that restricted much anymore, last Tifa I got was the Play Arts game version and while you can move her legs up, it will stretch her skirt and that might leave become permanent if you leave it for long.

I wonder how Bring As Aerith will fare, will she be still a statue on her lower part?

This isn't the biggest defect in the world, but it's souring me even more on an already thoroughly unimpressive figure that costs way too much for no reason. Mine is in the mail currently but I'm not too enthused. If I'd had the option to cancel mine I probably would have.

Bare minimum effort, maximum price tag. That is the way of Bring Arts. I try only to buy characters that I'm really attached to. I wouldn't mind the price if they could at least match Figma for quality, but they aren't even hitting that standard, and they're often almost twice the price.

Yeah. Were this Advent/Remake designs again I would've passed. But I'm all-in again like with 9.
Glad I'm not too invested in other titles, and have absolutely no interest in the more recent ones.
The amount of barebones, overpriced, FF16 figs they churned out at once... Damn, I feel sorry for their wallets.

Me too, but in my case I was hoping for a 1/12 scale of Tifa for so long to complete my holy trinity of fighting game waifus in 1/12 so I don't mind on what iteration Tifa will be as long as its 1/12 and not PAK size, of course the og look will be the best for me since I grew up with that and would look more in line with SHF Chun-Li's and figma Kasumi's anime look, was happy SE went with the og looks for their FF7 Bring Arts line as the og FF7 has anime-ish look

Awesome poses!

Haven't seen someone do her cool "landing pose", the pose she did when Loz threw her in a wall in Advent Children to soften her impact, she also do this during certain moves on Remake as well as in some cutscenes, I know she can't tilt her head really high due to how she has long hair but I feel she can do it with how the figure's skirt doesn't restrict her leg movement
