>>10441855Pretty much yeah, I think back then the peg system wasn't standardized but 5mm pegs were more seen than any other size so it was used as the basis for the Minicon connection. Its kind of ingenius how they did it, just drill a hole through and add a smaller peg on the Minicon so it can activate features. And even on pegs that don't have the activation gimmick they work well as hardpoints to slap a Targetmaster style Minicon Armored Core style and the increase in surface area meant the connection is solid and rarely loose. Kinda a shame nowadays the 5mm peg philosophy is based on Arms Micron where the main Transformer needs to be filled with holes and ports for the weapons with the peg to fit into. It led to Minicon incompatibility, majority of the weapons designed as handheld first and attachment second meaning most guns look weird if they're not on the hands and that's boring.
