>>9461491>The end resultOk, so if you ignore the entire process, it's not messy. This is how your entire MO works, huh?
>The Mafex has nasty tidemarks everywhere because of the wash.Is this just you being ignorant of the toys or more ignoring? Their Spiderman has air brush shading, which you might be confusing with "tides?" Because that's how Toy Biz figures are too.
Or maybe you're looking at the spray masks, which almost always leak through?
Or maybe you're talking about their comic-style second release?
>2D animation is more or less by necessity flatuh huh, but even you brought up cel shading, hence knowing that the more you want to emulate the look, the more detailed it needs to be.
>look weird in most posesSo does shading in general, but it looks better despite the nitpicking you're trying to do to discount it.
>all the comics I've seen use flat inksso if you ignore the coloring.... (ib4 you only want to example pre-90s comics)
Nevermind some companies go the extra mile and start including an artist's shading style and accent lines.
>Did a Bandai and Mattel executive spitroast you as a childThey're just the cheapest companies when it comes to making toys, with the lowest budgets and try to cut as many corners as possible. So they're the dead on example of what you're trying to argue for.
>>9461680oh, thanks for my new wallpaper... that i probably already have in my 13,000 files wallpaper folder.
1999? 2000?
I actually like the one that came on Dreamwave's calendar the best. Not really sure who the artist is and if it's actually something Dreamwave commissioned, but it's great.
