a lot of HGs even modern ones(though they have been better at hiding them lately) have these ugly seams between armor parts that you have to use this plastic cement to melt the plastic together.
it's not a requirement for building but god does it help a lot since most HGs have one or two really ugly seams, some seams are okay to leave though and some are meant to not be seam welded just use your eyes.
