I've considered trying to do something that I'd call more "techno-organic," where the city feels like it's coming alive, or already a living organism. I saw the older Sanctum Sanctorum set with the creature coming out of the wall (portal?), and thought that was cool. Imagine a building with tentacles crawling down the side. And yeah I have some bamboo leaves, see grass, finger leaves, tails (55236), horns (88513), teeth (87747), and eye tiles. Imagine something like a jungle at the heart of clustered modules. Plus lots of translucent pieces and printed pieces that could be computers, etc.. But I'm still a ways away from being able to do that.
I've thought about adding some "edgier" stores, like a queer bar or head shop alongside the typical fish stall and what have you. It would be small, cramped altogether. I'd try to keep everything on the space of a grey baseplate (10701). Build upwards. Dark red, earth blue, that sand colour, azures, greys, black, translucent purple, orange are all colours that appeal to me. I'd need to focus it. I have the Yellow Submarine set still unopened that I'd like to incorporate somehow.
There's a lot happening in my mind, and it seems to lack focus. I've got cyberpunk on the one hand, psychedelic on the other, and hints of spookiness...
