>>9153393I figured I'd have the go-ahead when Gelgoog Guy gave the OK last thread, and there's been pretty much no objection to the idea until now. This is mostly a trial run to see if a cross-board groupbuild will work or not anyways.
>>9153753>group build time is extended for 3 months Whenever I do give an extension it's usually for 1-2 weeks so that people that are close to finishing still have the opportunity to participate. The one exception to this was with the 30MM groupbuild which got a month extension due to COVID complications.
>initial entries are shit on>after everyone submits their build the time is extended 3 months again to allow the winner to look at the entries and build their kit and paint itI'm not sure what you mean by "initial entries", but there's no "Initial" or "Final" period for submitting. You either hit the deadline or you don't make it in.
>same people are always 1,2,3 placeOf the 15 groupbuilds so far, there's only been two builders that have come first in more than one build, and they've both only won twice.
>anyone else is picked apart for XEvery build gets its fair share of criticism, the winners included. It's typically not as bad as you make it out to be, but critiquing other's builds is a trait that exists in both the /toy/ and /m/ gunpla generals.
>wonder why participants dont bother after 1 or 2 entriesI don't have the exact numbers on hand, but I know for a fact that there's several builders that have participated in these builds on multiple occasions just by recognizing email addresses or photo backdrops. If you're trying to say that these builds only get 1-2 people per theme when we've had close to 200 entries over 15 themes over 5 years, then that's just a blatant lie.
>now they're scouting hereLike I said, this is mostly a test to see if and how a cross-board group build can work. I'm honestly more interested in seeing what ideas /toy/ can bring to the table than simply getting more builders involved.
