>>10247842After hearing from the designers and seeing the prototypes and alternate pitches, it's growing on me too. Brothers really did their damnedest given the GWP and corporate restrictions. I ended up making my purchase with some Ninjago mechs to relive a bit of Exo Force.
I think it shows promise. Given the chance to be a theme that could allow for new parts, existing parts in new colors, and touched up engineering I think it could work really well. On a technical level anyway. The fear is always gonna be in marketing it well enough. Even if LEGO went for it, I don't think we'll ever see Toa sold by themselves again. LEGO will want to add some fluff which will inflate the price and likely piss some older fans off. Especially if LEGO has the nerve to include some Toa in bigger sets only. I did like the Rahi alt builds they did with the GWP which included using the fluff parts. Maybe taking the Creator route would be for the best for selling the Toa in reasonably and consistently priced sets. And on a side not I would love to see how they would approach the Toa Kaita too since the parts are easier to work with. But this is all fantastical conjecture.
