The 256 car bracket is set. I tried to spread out each brand as much as I could but otherwise the distribution is pretty random.
To start, it will be single race elimination unless there is an exceptionally close finish or botched start. In either case, the lanes will change and the race will be re-done.
Once there are 32 cars left, the winner of each pair will have to win twice in a row, alternating lanes each race.
I'm not sure anything can beat the Majorette Cadillac limo, which combines massive weight with decent rolling. But there have been some surprises. If the Cadillac just runs away with it, I'll figure out something with the final 16 or 32 cars or so, plus the cars that lost to the Cadillac.
