>>7811480Hasbro has a crazy business model with all their lines ever since it was a success with Marvel, where they produce multiple different types of toys aimed at different demographics, usually with lower end cheap crap aimed at small kids, with the hopes that after the parents make the mistake of buying their kid the cheap crap one day on a whim, the kids will then talk their parents into buying them the more expensive $20 Marvel Legends figures, because Hasbro wants people to pay more for toys. With that same goal in mind they want to shill Black Series and low end garbage that nobody wants and ends up flooding pegs. And that's why cheaper toys like 3.75 figures can't be better than Black Series, because it fucks up their whole business model, if the good toys are cheaper than the $20 Black Series. Which is why they killed off TVC/3.75 Black Series in the first place and then replaced it with 5POA, then brought back TVC and made the price $13 a figure while also still trying to sell 5POA, up until stores stopped being able to sell 5POA, because not only were the figures kinda shit, but the characters they were based on were shit too.
Hasbro makes money regardless, because the stores already bought the toys, it's just that the stores don't make the money back, and so in the long run Hasbro loses money when the toys suck. I think Hasbro is aware of this now though, because some of their lower end lines are upper their quality now, such as Transformers Cyberverse.
