Greetings LG!
Today I bring you another Classic Space Conundrum.
As we all know, Classic Space was the original space theme and as a trailblazer line it innovated in a lot of ways. One of those were color schemes, which have then become a staple of most faction-based themes.
The three predominant color schemes used by CS were:
-Gray and blue with trans yellow canopies.
-White, black and trans blue canopies ( later used for Futuron).
-Gray, black and trans green canopies (which is where I'm getting at).
The following sets used that last color scheme and as far as I'm concerned all of them are good sets with one of them going as far as being considered by many as iconic for the line (Alien Moon Stalker)

I can't really recall seeing one moc using these color combinations that's not a revamp or upgrade on these sets.
That to me seems like a huge shame, given the absolutely huge number of CS mocs out there.
I do realize that out of the total of 91 sets that Brickset has indexed as CS these are a minority of 5 but still, there are Space subthemes (like Unitron) that only had 4 sets, with Blacktron (6), Space Police I (6) that get quite a large number of MOCs.
So how come this particular subcategory of CS never gets any love? Is it the lack of vibrant colors? Were the sets not captivating enough ?
At least as far as I'm concerned - I'm doing my part.
